Brand new Lamborghini wrecked in M1 crash near Wakefield - just '20 minutes' after purchase

The crash happened just after 1pm today (Wednesday) on the southbound carriageway between Junction 40 at Flushdyke and Junction 39 at Durkar.
A police spokeswoman confirmed the Lamborghini and a van had collided, leaving the van driver with head injuries which are not believed to be serious.

Hide AdWest Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit (RPU) tweeted a picture of the damage to the sports car - which is believed to be worth around £200,000.
The RPU tweeted: "It’s only a car! But on this occasion a 20-minute-old brand new Lamborghini that stopped due mechanical failure in lane three, then hit from behind [by a vehicle] #couldhavecried"
The crash caused major delays on the southbound carriageway which was closed for the vehicles to be recovered.
All lanes were reopened by 2.50pm.
