This is because of the time it takes for deaths to be confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19, for post-mortem examinations to be processed, and for data from the tests to be validated.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has reported the highest total number of coronavirus deaths in Yorkshire, 319, followed by Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust with 301 Covid-19 deaths and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust with 277 deaths.

The new deaths confirmed across each hospital trust in Yorkshire are as follows:

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 1

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 3

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust - 1

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 3
